We invited a creation scientist to come in and teach our
Bible College students last month and many members from
our churches and missions also attended (138 people in
all). We also took the scientist into 5 public schools
during the week to make a presentation on creationism
and to invite the students to attend our summer camps.
We had some very good results with the students, but
at one school where all of the teachers from the school
attended our meeting, one teacher was offended that
we were allowed to make such a presentation at a
government institution. And then she publically asked
God (even though she didn't believe in Him) to give
her a sign that He existed. At the very moment she
made that statement, all of México City experienced
a 5.9 earthquake for about 55 seconds. After the
ground shook, that teacher walked out of the auditorium
without another comment, but the students that remained
were very interested in the rest of our program. It looks
like we will have no problem filling up all the camps.
