I think one of the main reasons we do not grow in Christ likeness is because we do not strive to very seriously, it is not my number 1 goal in life. Do I take becoming like my Rabbi seriously? Every day this should be at the forefront of our minds controlling what we do and do not do. This should control our decision making and attitudes, everything should come thru this filter of being a disciple of the Rabbi, not just a student who learns about Yeshua, but someone who strives to be just like Yeshua. I need to be doing things that will make me become more and more like Yeshua every second of every day.
One main important area that I have really neglected is scripture memory…..Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee……. I think memorizing big blocks of scripture (and I’m not real concerned with the chapter and verse #’s) goes a long way in renewing my mind…….my main goal for 2006 and the rest of my appointed time is to take seriously becoming just like Yeshua and doing the things that will get me headed in the right direction to do that………..
